  • All students in grades Pre-K through 11 grades must complete this survey.

High school summer school is for credit recovery only.  This means that a student must have failed the class in order to take it in summer school. 

A maximum of two credits may be earned. 

One full credit in Session A and one full credit in Session B. Students may attend either or both sessions.

Free for all.

Free breakfast and lunch for all.

Dates, Times, & Location

  • Session A ---- June 14-July 2 with no school on June 21, WV Day.
  • Session B----- July 12-July 30.
  • Times for both sessions are 7:30 until 1:30.
  • Again, students may attend either or both sessions.
  • Location is Beckley Stratton Middle School

Rules & Requirements

  • Attendance is mandatory with one excused absence per session
  • Summer school enrollment is for CURRENT 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders.
  • No elective classes will be offered, e.g., Driver’s Ed, PE, etc.
  • Must pass the class with a 60% or better to receive the appropriate credit.


  • Grade level counselors will be checking the enrollment forms for the selection of correct classes that students need to makeup.

Remote Learning Information

The Raleigh County Public Library partners with provides online, on-demand academic tutoring, homework help, and test preparation to kindergarten through 12th grade students.  Any student with a valid Raleigh County Public Library card can access and connect with tutors in a safe and secure online classroom. Tutors are available from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. every day of the week, resources are available 24/7. Follow the link below to check it out.

Student Quarantine Information

If a student has been exposed to COVID-19 inside or outside of school, Raleigh County Schools follows a 14-day quarantine protocol. The student must quarantine for 14 days from the date of exposure. For quarantine related outside side of school, a doctor's/health department note is required to return to school.
