What is the LSIC?
The Local School Improvement Council (LSIC) at Shady Spring High School is a vital organization composed of administrators, teachers, parents, students, and community members working together to enhance the educational experience. The LSIC focuses on identifying areas for improvement and collaborating on initiatives that support academic excellence, student well-being, and community engagement. Each year, the LSIC holds a special meeting with the Raleigh County Board of Education, where they present an executive summary outlining student achievement, goals for the current year, and the school’s most pressing needs. This annual presentation ensures that the voices of the school community are heard at the district level, allowing for targeted support and continuous improvement at Shady Spring High School.
